work x work seeks a motivated intern ready to build real world event production and digital communication skills as well as portfolio pieces at our Agency’s Brooklyn HQ. The ideal intern enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment with a small team. You are: a skilled communicator with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and for digital native with a demonstrated passion for culture, music, podcasts and audio storytelling.

Responsibilities
• Assist with production of On Air Fest 2018 (http://onairfest.com/) including but not limited to set design, ticketing, managing calendars and talent management
• Liaising with work x work staff, freelancers and clients
• Administrative and research tasks as needed

Qualifications
• Highly motivated, strong work ethic
• Organizational finesse
• Availability to work on and off site
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design a strong plus

The Details
Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours/week. Internships take place at our Brooklyn HQ during business hours (M-F 10-6). We provide a subway transit stipend + $20 meal and academic credit where applicable. This position will start immediately and run through end of March, with possibility for extension.

social media editor (freelance)

work x work seeks an experienced social media editor for a combination of outside client and agency projects. The ideal candidate is a digital native with a strong track record for engaging audiences online, excellent copywriting skills, a keen visual eye and has a finger on the pulse of cultural trends.

This position will kick off with amplifying the 2018 On Air Fest, including strategy, cross-platform content, audience growth and engagement as well as working in concert with our PR and production teams to drive festival coverage.

Other projects include ideation and execution for our clients in hospitality, lifestyle, tech and media as well as marketing communications and social branding for our agency.

Responsibilities:
Ideate new campaigns, promotions, and themes
Write and schedule social media content calendars
Execute organic and paid campaigns (Facebook, Insta, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
Produce and/or manage the production of graphic content
Ability to communicate uniquely for different brands
Monitor and respond to analytics
Weekly reporting
Create and manage promotions/contests on Facebook and other channels
Monitor and keep the rest of our team apprised of important social media marketing developments and innovations

Requirements:
1-3 years experience in content creation, social media or related field
Digital agency or in-house agency/media experience preferred
Fluency in all major social media platforms
Excellent communication skills
Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills
Availability to work on and off site
Keen attention to detail
A demonstrable interest in podcasts, cultural movements, music and fine art

graphic designer (freelance)

work x work seeks an experienced Graphic Designer for part time or freelance work on an ongoing basis. Must have a clean design aesthetic with a keen interest in branding, digital and experiential design. Projects range from creating identity systems for media brands, to multi-platform lifestyle advertising and event design. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver and communicator with the ability to generate big ideas and execute them through production.

Requirements:
Fluency in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop
2-6 years of experience in branding, advertising, or related field
Availability to work on and off site if necessary
Exceptional design and branding work in portfolio
Keen attention to detail
Excellent typographical skills
Exceptional organizational & communication skills
A demonstrable interest in podcasts, cultural movements, music and fine art

Special interest given to candidates who:
Have copywriting skills
Knowledge of HTML/CSS
Motion graphic and/or video experience
